PSC vs ACSC, 25 April 2013
Thank you all for supporting a great result on and off the pitch (a very respectful ceremony, a hard fought 1-1 draw, and a wonderful eveing of friedship at the party). Here is a link to the Comcast SportsNet report recently posted, and you can find excellent pictures (Amanda's and Jessica's) via our "Photos > Matches" link.

Jessica Carpenter, the Corcoran, the Washington Post, and PSC
Most of you know, or have seen, Jessica Carpenter, photographing our play and are familiar with her work. For example, her pictures from our last game with the Coasties and our 9-11 observance last year are at –

Besides photographing us, she has been busy working towards her Master’s Degree at the Corcoran and recently completed her thesis, which you can find at - https://vimeo.com/58518405 or on the Washington Post website at -

While these photographs and video do an excellent job capturing who we are, they are a small sample of what the Pentagon Soccer Club has been, is, and will continue to be with players like you and friends like Jessica!

Visit to Bolling AFB (technically Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, aka JBAB)
On 20 February, about nine of us travelled to Bolling AFB to play a friendly match with a small band of JBAB diehards (it was a very cold and windy day, but sunny). We started 8 v 8 but expanded a s few other JBABs arrived. Because they are a young team, and some are new to the sport, we played mixed sides on a shortened field (they have mobile goals).
It was fun to venture to a new pitch, but once again we proved the beautiful game is the beautify game! The asked if we could join them again soon, so keep an eye out for the announcement. |

Loss to Coast Guard, 2-4
An unfortunate result on January 30th to the Coasties after donating 3 players and not having a regular keeper. Despite a theatrical goal by Ali in the 16th minute and another by the younger Abdu in the 57th, PSC gave up goals at 12', 22', 55' and a penalty at 24' to win the match. Pictures hopefully following shortly! |
